Nuyorican Poets Café Artistic Director Rome Neal reprises his AUDELCO Award-winning portrayal of the enigmatic jazz giant, Thelonius Monk, for six performances of Monk. Written by playwright Laurence Holder, this production features incidental musical composed by jazz musician/composer Bill Lee, father of filmmaker Spike Lee. Mr. Lee’s music has been heard in the younger Lee’s films “Mo Better Blues,” “School Daze,” and “Do The Right Thing.”
