About This Show

The Workshop Theater Company is proud to present Madness by Manus, a night of unique, dark and funny one-act plays, written by Bob Manus and directed by Thomas Cote. The following plays are featured:

What? – a nightmare comedy in which an egomaniacal Shakespearean actor is driven to the brink of insanity by a phantom voice screaming at him from across the footlights.

Man’s Best Friend – Havoc ensues when a vicious, manipulative fox terrier is threatened by the arrival of his mistress’s new boyfriend.

Bobby Love & Eddie – In the tradition of “Twilight Zone” and “Dead of Night,” a ventriloquist and his coke-addicted dummy mutually agree to break up the act – with tragic results.

Cassandra’s Hour – In this twisted homage to “Blithe Spirit,” a sexy ghost drives a fatal wedge between a man and his wife in order to achieve her hidden agenda.

I Shot Ozzie and Harriet – a sexually confused teenager and his drug-addicted brother, in a final desperate attempt to get their parents’ attention, discover a bizarre secret that will change their lives forever.
