Macbeth

Why do another production of Macbeth? Few plays have the ability to speak to an audience, no matter what time period. This cautionary tale of unbridled ambition and unrelenting greed is the stuff of our daily headlines. Shakespeare allows us to glimpse into the human heart and uncover that those “black & deep desires” are not only Macbeth’s, but often are found in the best of men and women. Often it only takes a simple word, a glance from a stranger, or an offer one can’t refuse to set off a chain of events leading to one’s destruction.
