About This Show

Upstart Theater Company presents Lost and Found, by Paul Harris. The play is about a man in his thirties who meets his birth mother for the first time. How many of us have wondered what life would have been like if we’d had different parents? Ken Fried, whose mother put him up for adoption 38 years ago, wants to know and may find out. Ken has located his birth mother, college professor Rachel Jarka, after many years of searching. Rachel has not had any contact with her son, nor did she know what had happened to him after she gave him up. Rachel is a Jewish woman who has become agnostic, and Ken was raised in a Jewish family. In addition, Rachel’s husband Tom, a Gentile, never knew about this secret from his wife’s past. Now Ken has decided to meet his mother, much to her surprise. Will this be a wonderful family reunion, or should Ken have left
well enough alone? Fred Barton directs.

There is no Saturday matinee on May 10th, and an additional performance on Sunday, May 11th at 7:30pm. There is an additional Wednesday performance on May 21st at 8pm.
