About This Show

Christopher Durang’s Laughing Wild is an explosive comedy about a woman and a man struggling to come to grips with the world around them. Premiered nearly 20 years ago, the play is a visceral response to period ideas and figures from Edwin Meese to Diana Ross. It was 1987, the same year that Ronald Reagan first spoke on AIDS, advocating sexual abstinence. While the piece is hard-hitting and uncompromising in its politics, it is also an intense character study of ego and vulnerability. Jimmy Smith directs.

The preview performance on Tuesday, December 19 begins at 8:00 PM.
