About This Show

Kamp Katrina is Ashley Sabin and David Redmon’s film about Ms. Pearl a New Orleans native who converts her backyard into a tent city where 14 displaced people live for 6 months following Hurricane Katrina. She provides construction jobs and basic resources to help them assist in rebuilding the city. The situation gradually goes violently awry and Ms. Pearl is confronted with an array of abuses amidst a broken city. Ashley Sabin and David Redmon speak about the film.

Kamp Katrina is presented as part of the 2007 Women Center Stage Festival.
