About This Show

A humorous, dramatic and insightful view of Americans, post 9-11, Just Happy To Be Here? tells of a government-sponsored attempt to study, through a series of individual interviews, the collective psyche of this nation’s citizens. It is the final session and this time several Black men from varying walks of life are having their say. The characters are brought together by a focus group but what drives the production are the stories that come from the participants that tackle and/or bring to light a wide array of subjects that are relevant throughout America and transcend even the communal shock of a national tragedy.
