About This Show

The world premiere production of I’ve Been Drunk for Three Weeks and I Have a Gun, written and directed by Jim Farmer, is a darkly comic, hallucinogenic tale of prostitution, drug addiction, sexual abuse and murder, all culminating in the happiest of happy endings.

On an overnight train trip from Sarasota to L.A., to visit his sometimes girlfriend Lenore, a sleeping Dick Cummings is awakened by a man trying to stab him to death. Dick turns the tables, killing his assailant, who just happens to have a photo of Dick in his breast pocket. Upon his arrival in L.A., Dick finds Lenore nowhere to be found. Seeking the help of the police, Dick is befriended by Lieutenant Ernie Predelear, who suggests Dick take a night course in criminology to better help the investigation. Dick obliges and quickly lands his license and his search for Lenore begins in earnest. During his quest and quite unexpectedly, Dick falls for a hooker, Kansas.
