About This Show

Inspired by their Off Broadway debut, authors David Weinstein, Melissa Levis, and
Beth Saulnier return to the 10th annual New York Fringe Festival with It’s a Hit! Jeb K. Rand presents this killer new musical comedy about a conniving producer, aging diva, blackmailed soap star, mafioso investor, and despised critic who are all “dying” for a hit.

Weinstein, Levis, and Saulnier wrote The Joys of Sex which won the Audience Favorite and Best Director awards at the Fringe in 2002. The cast includes Broadway veterans Donald Corren (Souvenir, Torch Song Trilogy), Joanna Glushak (Hairspray, Sweet Smell of Success, Les Mis), Rob Barnes (Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair), and Kenny Morris (Hairspray, Les Mis). Alicia Sable recently played Gretchen Moll’s sister in the film The Notorious Bettie Page. Billy Wheelan just closed The Butcherhouse Chronicles at the SPF festival. These six actors double and
triple to play over thirteen roles in this lighthearted mystery musical. It’s a Hit is presented as part of the 10th Annual New York International Fringe Festival.
