Home Soon is loosely based on the compelling true life disappearance and murder of the young Bronx girl, Jessica Guzman, in 1990. The playwright wrote this story as a tribute to Jessica’s mother who handled the coverage of this tragedy with a stoicism, elegance and grace that impresses him to this day.
