About This Show

The Workshop Theater Company presents Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Parts One and Two in a two-hour production adapted and directed by Jerry Less in an intimate in-the-round staging.

William Shakespeare wrote two full-length plays to tell the story of rebellion and royal succession in 16th century England. Adapter and Director Jerry Less’s production combines these two epic works into one evening’s presentation lasting two hours with a cast of seven in an intimate setting. Rather than spectacle, his production focuses on pure storytelling and cuts to the true essence of the plays – the human relationships and needs involved. Family, friendship, finding one’s place in the world – these are concerns that speak to all audiences from Shakespeare in his time to ours today.

Appropriate for teenage audiences and older.
