About This Show

Mix a romantic loser under house arrest in his Buffalo basement, his long-lost childhood sweetheart home from college for Christmas, with drinking, drugs, sex and ping-pong. Sift with the darkly comic vision of playwright Robyn Burland, and end up with Greater Buffalo, a play in which two troubled young people stumble toward adulthood. Jessica Davis-Irons directs.

The two-character play takes place in real time, as dusk turns to darkness in the small basement room where Glen spends his days and nights lifting weights, reading Tolstoy, selling pot, and watching the world from his tiny window. A visit from Kelly, his childhood friend, inspires past resentments to boil to the surface.
