Eyewitness Blues

Steven Sapp and Mildred Ruiz star in Eyewitness Blues, part of Dance Theater Workshop’s Carnival series, a three-month rotating schedule of performing artists. Caught between an art and its hard place, a composer is haunted by the rhythms of familiar stories that are looking for endings.Told but never answered is a neighborhood folktale that grows into urban legend. The tale, involving real folks, invokes the search for a kid named Junior in the faces, names, places, and mouths of local gossip, hearsayers, and just plain old storytellers.
