About This Show

Eugene O’Neill’s recently re-discovered one-act masterpiece was thought lost for more than 90 years. O’Neill himself ordered every copy burned for fear the semi-autobiographical work would kill his father. The play tracks our greatest American playwright’s descent into the inferno but ends on a note of redemption, as O’Neill emerged from his suicide attempt with a new found conviction to recover from his obsession with death and forge a new life as a writer.
