About the Show

Pregones Theater offers a summer stage tour of the bilingual musical play El Apagón/The Blackout. The play is based on the short story “La noche que volvimos a ser gente” (The Night We Became People Again) by the Puerto Rican author José Luis González. Adapted and directed by Rosalba Rolón, the play tells the story of a factory worker caught in the middle of a New York city power blackout while on his way home to be with his wife who is about to give birth.
