Coming out of your teens is hard, especially for students at Columbia University whose pocket books stretch miles longer than their imaginations. Dreamboat is a new, gay, cult classic about the woes of a rag-tag quartet of sophomores: Jordan, Brody, Rosemary, and Mary. They cast themselves as archetypes and try to survive a nightmare weekend that seems to keep repeating itself. New York City swirls around them, all the people start to look the same, and the pregnant girl they all bully seems to know more than the rest of us. The big question is: “am I gay?” At the end of the day, nobody knows the answer.
