Dina Martina’s Yule Log

About the Show

“Absolutely high-f**king-larious! GO, GO, GO!” — Dan Savage, author and columnist

“Once in a great long while, the planets align and all of nature conspires to come up with the previously unimaginable, the wondrous and newly beautiful, the awe inspiring. And some people are lucky enough to live in a time when such a creative vision appears in their midst. Now is such a time, we are the lucky ones, and Dina Martina is it.” — Craig Lucas, playwright

“To those who have experienced the magic of Dina, she is a reason to live. — The Stranger, Seattle weekly paper

“Stupefying and jaw-dropping! It plays like a disaster – which is exactly what makes it so funny!” — The Oregonian

In September, a private by-invitation-only performance by acclaimed Seattle artist Dina Martina left jaded New York audiences stunned and clamoring for more. On December 5th, Martina makes her official New York debut at The Cutting Room in Chelsea. For two nights only, Martina offers Dina Martina’s Yule Log, an annual holiday show that has gained cult status in her native town of Seattle.

Dina Martina’s Yule Log, like all of Martina’s surreal shows, is a unique night of entertainment that assaults the senses like no other show. Her unforgettable blend of peculiar music, stupefying comedy and bizarre performance has been described as “a train wreck in heels,” “like Vegas on crack” and “one of the best nightmares you’ll ever have.” Dina Martina was conceived in 1989 by Seattle performer Grady West, who developed the hilariously unwitting character into a multi-faceted persona.
