Cicely Hamilton’s 1908 romantic comedy Diana of Dobson’s gets a rare production from the Mint Theater Company. The play revolves around a young woman driven to despair by her dreary life as a “live-in” shop girl in Dobson’s Drapery Emporium. When she learns that she has inherited a modest sum from a distant relative, she extravagantly decides to treat herself to “a crowded hour of glorious life.” Of course, this can only lead to trouble…
