Culture Bandit

Native New Yorker Vanessa Hidary brings her one-woman show, Culture Bandit, back to Makor for one night only. As the self-styled “Hebrew Mamita,” she asks, “What does Jewish look like to you? Should I fiddle on a freakin’ roof for you?” Using monologues, poetry and hip-hop, Hidary takes audiences through the hilarious and sometimes explosive relationships of diverse cultures that make up the city, from her own Syrian-Jewish perspective.
