Cologne, or the Ways Evil Enters the World

Based on his original short story, Tony Abatemarco tells the tale of a teenage boy’s search for sexual identification on Long Island, circa 1965-69. A secret affair with his best friend’s older brother has dire consequences when young Tony lies about his sexuality to ensure his acceptance in a brutal gang. Upon leaving for college in Boston, the historic Stonewall uprising provides an eleventh hour alternative to one boy’s self-loathing and fear.
