Guided by the pioneering vision of Cleo Parker Robinson for more than thirty years, this Denver-based dance company, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble, makes their Joyce debut this summer. This is a company that transforms the stage into a sanctuary of healing-entertaining, elevating and educating. Legendary and emerging artists have been drawn to the company to create an explosive body of works inspired by the African American experience and rooted in Black dance traditions – a repertory that transcends the boundaries of culture, class and age while communicating the complexity of the human condition.
