About This Show

Candida and Her Friends is a satirical comedy about life in a New York college, how teachers and students interact and how they rediscover the joys of etymology. Enter the very moral and timid professor of Latin, who has been given reason to feel his students are misunderstanding him (and his lessons of love and “carpe diem”). Three students, both present and former, admire and love him (and in some cases throw themselves at him). Set-off by the advances of Candida, and her very bizarre friend Rudy ? a free and liberal spirit who loves Candida and cooks for her lovers and plays dress-up ? the professor goes into a tailspin of introspection.
