About This Show

Jane Bussmann is a British comedy writer and filmmaker. Bussmann’s Holiday is a 95% true story that recounts how Jane accidentally blundered into a war zone in Uganda. Normally a Hollywood-based comedy writer and celebrity journalist, Jane’s life went tits-up when a British newspaper fabricated a quote ‘from Ashton Kutcher’ and put Jane’s name on the interview. Jane found herself facing the toughest litigation lawyer in LA – who left her out of a job. So Jane decided to ditch LA to join ‘the useful people’ as a foreign correspondent. The problem: her qualifications in investigative journalism consisted of getting bulimia quotes out of Nicole Richie, her political experience didn’t extend beyond the yogurt parlors of West Hollywood and frankly, she was only going to Uganda because an extremely attractive peacemaker had said she could cover a peace deal. Worse, to persuade the peacemaker to let her follow him to Africa, Jane had told him she was a serious journalist.
