“Burning Habits is fantastic — go see it and you’ll be hooked!” – Mary-Louise Parker
Blair Fell’s Burning Habits, the episodic cult hit created in 1993 is a New York institution — heck, it’s been around longer than MetroCards! Not just live theater — it’s living theater. Continually updated to remain current, the plays hold up a shaky mirror to the politically corrupt, spiritually vacant, fearfully bigoted climate of the day and darn it — you’re gonna laugh. Originally performed at the legendary East Village nightclub crowbar, Burning Habits was revived last summer to sold-out houses. This year’s “ultimate production” features five original cast members (together for longer than most marriages) and many of the cast from last summer’s hit run.
The incendiary 5-part serial tells the story of three families whose lives are intertwined with the Ghosts of Three Dead Lesbian Nuns, murdered in 1932. Told over 5 hilarious and pathos-filled episodes, Burning Habits is a tragic-camp comedy.
Each episode plays for four consecutive Mondays — in other words you have four chances to see each episode! And to top it off, a full dinner menu and fabulous cocktail specials are available too!
