Breeze off the River
$15.00
The Collective Objective presents the world premiere of Kyle Baxter’s Breeze off the River as part of the 10th annual New York International Fringe Festival, directed by DeLoss Brown.
Breeze off the River tells the story of Sean — a modern gay man, happy, content and single. Sean’s life is thrown into chaos when his best friend Eric asks to move in with him. Eric is straight, a father and newly separated from his wife. There is friction as Sean’s friends get to know them. Then as Sean accepts his role as de-facto parent, this new family is upended when Eric’s estranged wife, Rebecca returns demanding sole custody of their son, E.J. Breeze explores the nexus between the straight world and the gay world and asks what makes a family, anyway?
