Blood Of The Bear tells the story of seventeen-year old William Faulkner, future Nobel laureate in literature, who embarks on an annual family deer hunt that quickly becomes a contest with the crafty and elusive bear Reelfoot. The story also examines his crucial struggle to gain independence from his downtrodden father and overbearing grandfather.
