As I Lay Dying
$12.00 - $14.00
William Faulkner’s As I Lay Dying makes its stage premiere as Chashama and Basement Flat productions transform a Times Square store-front and industrial meat locker into a slice of rural Mississippi. Told in alternating bursts of laughter and despair, the play tells the story of a poor Mississippi family struggling with flood, fire, and each other as they carry their dead mother’s body to be buried. Basement Flat brings this story to life in a daring documentary style adaptation focused on animating Faulkner’s tragic and hysterical characters.
There are no performances on November 22 or 23.
