About the Show

Basement Flat Productions presents the New York premiere of As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner, adapted and directed to the stage by Andrew Grosso.

As I Lay Dying regales us with the story of a poor family in rural Mississippi struggling with fire, flood, and each other as they cart their dead mother’s body across the state to be buried. Using 17 narrators and 25 characters, Faulkner humorously weaves arson, incest, statutory rape, adultery, murder, and rotting fish into a surprisingly comic tale filled with some of the most memorable characters in 20th Century literature.

No show on Tuesday, May 18.
