About This Show

For a third year, Classic Stage Company reunites with the Graduate Acting Program of the Columbia University School of the Arts. This unique education and outreach initiative presents the double bill of The Taming of the Shrew with John Fletcher’s irreverent “sequel,” The Tamer Tamed written some twenty years later. Watch Kate and Petruchio go head to head in Shakespeare’s raucous knock-down, drag-out, fight to the finish and then see Petruchio meet his new match, Marie, in Fletcher’s continuation. Enjoy these two comic takes on the perennial battle of the sexes.
