About This Show

Two time PEN Literary Award finalist Peter Constantine translates a world premiere adaptation of Sophocles’ epic story of human responsibility. This groundbreaking kick-off of The Pearl’s 25th Anniversary Season presents The Oedipus Cycle (Oedipus the King, Oedipus at Colonus, and Antigone) as a single theatrical event under the direction of The Pearl’s artistic director and founder Shepard Sobel; the story explores the legend and legacy of Oedipus, and his family’s discovery of grace and wisdom through suffering and loss.
