Kings County Shakespeare Company presents The Duchess of Malfi by John Webster, performed by its senior equity company, and directed by Jemma Alix Levy.
The Duchess of Malfi, a work of dark genius, is based on the true story of an Italian duchess who in 1503 married her chief steward, incensing her class-conscious brothers. Playwright John Webster was a slightly later contemporary of Shakespeare, and one of the best-known playwrights from the Jacobean period.
There is an extra matinee performance on Saturday August 30th @ 2PM.
