About the Show

Michael Cumpsty, fresh from his Obie Award-winning performance in last season’s Hamlet, reunites with CSC’s Artistic Director Brian Kulick to tackle the fall of Shakespeare’s most poetic monarch, Richard II.

The Village Voice calls Cumpsty “an actor of commanding presence” and Kulick “a director who loves nothing better than a daring outrageous risk.” The New York Times declared that their work together “grabs you by the lapels and pulls you into the drama!” Classic Stage Company recommends that you not miss this extraordinary reunion.
