New York City
Canada’s knockout solo dancer Margie Gillis celebrates 30 years on stage with classics from her repertoire and five luminous NY premieres. By popular demand, Gillis returns with Blue, a meditation on forgiveness, and her signature work, Waltzing Matilda. NY premieres include Irene Dowd’s hypnotic Verdian; Elimination, a lyrical reflection on paring down to essentials; A Complex Simplicity of Love set to Handel love songs; the uplifting What the Wind Whispered; and Breathing in Bird Bone, a whimsical “Swan Lake for ducks.”
