Kiki and Herb: There’s a Stranger in the Manger!

Kiki & Herb: There’s a Stranger in the Manger! is a spoof of cabaret conventions that blends storytelling with music. Kiki is a brash and boozy 67-ish survivor with the ability to tell a story as few can (and with almost Tourette-like candor), a unique and bruising vocal style, and a willingness to do anything in the name of “showbiz”; Herb is Kiki’s shy, stalwart long-term accompanist and co-dependant support. In their newest performance piece the dispossessed duo weave their way through a variety of seasonal favorites interspersed with Kiki’s often devastating biography. The show includes such unforgettable holiday fare as Dan Fogelberg’s “Same Old Lang Syne,” “Thin Ice” by Pink Floyd, the Ramones’ “Merry Christmas (I Don¹t Want To Fight Tonight)” and Mary J. Blige’s “No More Drama.”
