Julius Caesar (TFANA)

Citizens are jailed and a writ of habeas corpus denied. The leader pushes through draconian laws. Dissent becomes unpatriotic. Julius Caesar passionately dramatizes questions of democracy vs. dictatorship, patriotism and dissent, and class and civil war not as simple abstractions, but as complex human relationships. Karin Coonrad directs, with Earl Hindman in the title role.
