About the Show

Award-winning French playwright Denise Bonal’s Les pas perdus is presented as In Transit, translated by Timothy Johns, directed by Francoise Kourilsky, and performed by the Ubu Repertory Bilingual Company. The play is a poignant and humorous work that transports the audience to the chaotic world of a European train station, where cultures mix, destinies collide, and strangers cross paths. 11 actors (including a 12-year-old boy) play over 40 characters. This is a play of wanderers, lovers, rowdy gangs, hyper-charged families, and lost souls, written as a series of interlocking vignettes. Obie-winning composer Genji Ito leads the musical ensemble which scores the onstage action.
