The Obie Award-winning Target Margin Theater presents Christopher Marlowe’s rarely seen 16th-century play Dido, Queen of Carthage. The show is the story of Aeneas, on his way to build the city of Rome, who becomes shipwrecked in north Africa, where he falls in love with Dido. Their great tale of romance becomes riddled with tragedy when Aeneas is forced by the gods to fulfill his destiny and leaves Dido, who kills herself. David Herskovits directs.
