About This Show

Undoubtedly one of the most exotic figures of the Twenties, and one of the most memorable artists pursing the Art Deco style, Tamara de Lempicka is known for her distinctive paintings of the Parisian glitterati in the 1920’s and 30’s. Kara Wilson not only embodies this enigmatic diva in words and music, but also as an accomplisehd artist trained at the Glasgow Art School. During the 60 minute performance, Ms. Wilson reproduces an exact copy in oil paint of Ms. de Lempicka’s luminous work “Rafaela surf out vert, or Le Reve,” which is auctioned off at the conclusion of each show.

Part of Brits Off Broadway.
