About This Show

WestBeth Entertainment brings legendary Irish comedian Tommy Tiernan and his show Cracked to New York’s Village Theatre under the banner of its British/Irish Comedy Invasion which began earlier this year.

Tiernan is a fiercely intelligent, dynamic, and engaging performer with a charismatic presence and a comic ferocity. Cracked is a whirlwind of brilliant one-liners, offbeat observations and further tales from the maverick storyteller’s never-ending story which includes a life lived on the dole for seven years, and a flirtation with the Catholic Church. He created a stir last year in Ireland with a televised comment about Christ’s crucifixion which resulted in him being branded “godless,” and the TV program being sued for blasphemy. Now that’s comedy.
