Naked Eye Theatre Company and The Kazbah Project presents the New York premiere of Radha Bharadwaj’s Closet Land. Set in an unidentified country, this compelling production tells the story of a terrifying confrontation between a successful children’s book writer and the government agent hired to question, and if necessary, torture her. The action of the play follows the kidnapping and torture of the writer by government secret police. The audience is asked to re-evaluate the political necessity of fighting for possession of one’s mind and soul, even in the face of certain death.
