New Faces in Comedy

Sharon Klein presents three hot new standup comedians (Tina Giorgi, Marion Grodin, and Dave Konig) from network television, movies and well-known clubs around the country in New Faces in Comedy.

Tina Giorgi is a national headlining comedienne who appears regularly at Caroline’s Comedy Club, The Comedy Cellar, Dangerfield’s, Comic Strip Live, Stand Up NY and The Comedy Stop at The Tropicana in Atlantic City. Giorgi has also appeared on numerous television shows including The Late, Late Show with Craig Kilborn, WOR’s Spotlight Café, and Comedy Central and Metro Channel’s New Joke City with Robert Klein.

Actress, writer and comedian Marion Grodin has been seen conducting comedic celebrity interview pieces for Inside Edition (most recently with Janeane Garofalo) and was a roving correspondent on The Charles Grodin Show. She has written for the sitcoms It’s a Living and Princesses and has many screenplays to her credit. Grodin can currently be seen at Carolines, Catch a Rising Star, Gotham, and Standup NY, and recently opened for Linda Ronstadt.

In the early nineties Dave Konig wrote for shows on Comedy Central (Random Acts of Variety, That’s Not Fair), MTV (You Wrote It, You Watch It) and VH1 (Rumor Has It). He later launched a successful TV comedy broadcasting career, hosting Showtime’s Showtime Mailbox, FX’s The Imposters, HBO’S Hardcore TV, USA Network’s The Dave Konig Show, and METRO-TV’s Emmy Award winning Subway Q&A, where he is featured in the popular “Konig Underground” segment.
