Melba Moore

Tony Award-winner and star of Broadway’s Hair and Purlie, Melba Moore makes her return to the New York cabaret stage. A self-described “Broadway baby who’s also a child of God,” Ms. Moore’s cabaret show will include Broadway hits alongside Gospel favorites and selections from her new album “I’m Still Here” (Shout Glory! Records).

Ms. Moore’s set includes a medley from Hair, “I Got Love” from Purlie, and “Summertime” from Porgy and Bess; cabaret favorites such as “Stormy Weather,” and “Don’t Mean a Thing,” and, of course, Ms. Moore’s signature song, the Grammy-nominated “Lean on Me.”
