Kid’s Book Club: Girls Read!

Symphony Space debuts two new book clubs (for boys and girls ages 9 – 12), co-presented with Bank Street Bookstore. This new series of lively discussions gives kids the chance to meet their favorite authors. Kids’ Book Club: Girls Read! features Madeline Cohen, Symphony Space’s Education Director, in a discussion with bestselling author and fairy-tale master Gail Carson Levine. In addition, actor Cynthia Nixon reads selections from Levine’s new book, Fairest, a spellbinding retelling of Snow White, and Levine shares her secrets from an idea book, Writing Magic, offering plenty of inspiration for young writers.
