Kate Pazakis takes center stage for her honest, sharp tongued, no-apologies solo performance debut. When lights come up on fiery red-head Kate Pazakis as she opens with “Blues in the Night,” her powerful, sultry, heartfelt voice seduces the audience into the loss and revival of her sexy and passionate inner Scorpio and into the sexless years…
Most recently seen on the New York Stage in the recent Manhattan Center Pippin Concert (Starring Rosie O’Donnell and Ben Vereen), and having made such other star-studded appearances as the Only Make Believe Benefit aside Harvey Fierstein as well as the Children of Eden Concert at the York Theatre Company, the cleverly written confusion that is the sexless years marks Miss Pazakis’ first one-woman show.
With a book written by David Solomon, Pazakis recreates her humorous crises in an open quest of love, loss and getting laid. Pazakis sings favorites like “Defying Gravity”, “Everlasting Love” with the help of her adorably (and invetiably), uber-gay “angry clit”: Brian Golub, Toby Blackwell and Ethan Paulini. With musical direction and accompaniment by Brian Nash. Noel Carmichael directs.
“Pazakis is a natural, gifted entertainer. She’s also got a great set of pipes…”
