John White is a modern-classic lyric vocalist and producer from New York City. His new album Simple Vow delivers stunningly powerful yet well-balanced performance and production, while never overshadowing his talent for crafting and arranging great songs. Whether on stage or in the studio John’s greatest skill lies in his interpretation of music across multiple genres, which can clearly be heard in his music. Traveling across the U.S., he has performed leading roles in operas and musicals, including Tosca, Chérubin, The Marriage of Figaro, West Side Story, Annie Get Your Gun, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Sound of Music, Brigadoon, Hello Dolly, 42nd Street, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Ba Ta Clan.
Most recently he starred in the title role in Benjamin Britten’s Albert Herring in Tampa, Florida.

John has been immersed in the entertainment industry for 15 years, as a musician, vocalist, producer, sound designer, and composer. In 2002 John teamed up with Platinum award winning engineer Scott Noll and opened Midtown Sound, one of New York’s top music recording facilities. John has produced, engineered and or performed with some of the finest artists in genres ranging from classical, jazz, world fusion, folk, rock, Latin and hip-hop, including Chick Corea, Ron Carter, James Moody, Jane Monheit, Bob Belden, Bob Parsons Big Band, Lil’ Kim, DJ Logic, Shawn Pelton, Richard Gere, Whoopi Goldberg, Goldie Hawn, The New Jersey Opera, and served as chief engineer for R&B producer Channel 7 (Jennifer Lopez, Ashanti, Ja Rule, Mariah Carey, and Missy Elliot). He has music supervised and composed for films including Brooklyn Lobster, which have been screened at The Sundance, Tribeca, Cannes, and Toronto Film Festivals. John’s recordings and compositions have appeared on HBO, A&E, The History Channel, PBS and Nickelodeon as well as on Sony, BMG, Blue Note and Columbia Records.

Most recent was Midtown Sound’s collaboration on the production of Miles From India, with multi Grammy Award-winning producer Bob Belden. This groundbreaking album spent several months on Billboard’s Top 10 on both Jazz and World charts and was recently received a Grammy nomination.
