Havanesque

The Alonso Brothers are on a mission to share their homeland with the world. The duo joined forces with the CCCNY to release their debut album on June 1. Havanesque is their take on the Cuban classics of the 1930s through the 1960s. Featuring original arrangements in a variety of styles — from the seductive melodies of the bolero, to the intricate rhythms of the mambo, and conga — the Alonso Brothers construct a vivid soundscape that celebrates Cuba’s diverse culture and rich, yet complex history.
