About This Show

The Baby That Brought Bad Weather

In 2003, Greta released her debut solo album of “impeccably orchestrated 70s-style pop” (Time Out New York) featuring over 30 of New York’s finest musicians. The culmination of three years of recording with Noah Simon at Jarvis Studios in the Silk Building, the album has since gradually reached radio airwaves and record collections around the world, having been released in Europe and Australia. Vin Scelsa (WFUV) described it as “one of those hoped for revelations that all too infrequently emerge from the never-ending pile of new releases” and Irwin Chusid (WFMU) called it “an album of timeless songcraft in the classic pop tradition but with a magic that transcends the genre”. Greta is currently working on a follow-up album of new material with her band, The Extroverts. But due to popular demand, she will re-visit “The Baby” FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY, by performing it live, in its entirety, with many of the musicians who contributed to its lush, orchestral sounds plus special guest vocalists.
