Playhouse Creatures proudly offers four one act plays that offer a bent view on our universal struggle to connect. Featuring new plays by accomplished and up and coming NYC playwrights: Jerrod Bogard (Top-Load), Thomas Dane (Scrambled), Robin Rice Lichtig* (HAPPIWY EVER AFTER) and Cassandra Lewis* (Marked). In “Top-Load”, Jerrod Bogard (whose play, “Supernova in Reseda”, starring Tony winner Tonya Pinkins received a rave review from the New York Times) shows us an ex-lover teaching a lesson in loyalty. Thomas Dane’s “Scrambled”, is a thought provoking study in how political and ideological extremism can tear apart a community. Cassandra Lewis’ multi-award winning play, “Marked”, is a heartbreaking dark comedy about a woman with mental illness doing the best she can and her son who is trying to save her. “HAPPIWY EVER AFTER”by Robin Rice Lichtig (award winning playwright) is a cheeky take on fairy tale romance.
