Free Teen Open Mic Night at the Banksy Museum

Have something interesting to share? On Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 7PM, teens are invited to the Banksy Museum at 277 Canal Street to share their work in a welcoming open mic environment in collaboration with the Nuyorican Poets Cafe and Writopia Lab. Perform poetry, spoken word, songs, or short excerpts from prose in front of a supportive audience surrounded by some of the world’s most iconic street art. This open mic is exclusively for performers ages 13–18, and each piece should be 2 minutes or less so everyone has a chance to share. Whether you’re stepping up to the mic for the first time or already writing regularly, this collaboration will be worth the visit! If you plan to see the exhibit before the event, please arrive before 7pm (event ticket does NOT cover museum entry, standard rates apply)
