About This Show

Noted Brazilian actors Luca Bianchi and Lívia de Bueno will perform the North American and English language premiere of DHRAMA: The Remarkable Dialogue Between Krishna and Arjuna. Written by famed Brazilian playwright/screenwriter/director João Falcão and translated by Juliana Pampalona and Camila Mason, the two-character drama retells an episode of the Sanskrit epic “Mahabarata.” It is the first stage work by Falcão to be presented in New York.

In the title of the play, “DHRAMA,” is a pun on the word dharma, a word signifying behaviors which are in accord with the order that makes life and universe possible, including duties, rights, laws, conduct, virtues and the “right way of living.”
